About me

Hello,

I am Joyce and live in Lee Green, about a 5 minute walk from Lee BR station. For working parents who need to use the trains regularly, it is a convenient location for dropping and picking up. My house is ideally located close to shops, parks, the library and playgroups.

As a mum to 2 beautiful children, I understand that every parent wants their child to be cared for in a loving, happy and safe environment. I am reliable, hardworking and responsible. I am open to learning new things and ideas and feel this helps me to do well personally and professionally.

My home is a non-smoking and pet free setting. I have especially dedicated a room in my home to be a children's playroom, like a mini nursery. Here children can do their colouring, arts and crafts, easily access books, indoor and outdoor toys. When the children are of a school going age, I like to develop their writing and reading skills.

Also have a nice secure garden area where children can play, learn and enjoy. My house is very close to a park, which again has a play area for children to enjoy, learn and develop their life skills. Interested parents, please email me for pictures.

My Experience

Over the last few years, I've had wonderful and satisfying moments of looking after my nephew and nieces since they were babies. This childcare experience helped me when I became a mum and of course I still continue to learn a lot as a parent!

In the past I was a teacher at primary school, found it to be a very enriching experience working with children.
I am first aid trained, completed my Early years course, had my Ofsted registration done successfully, so really just awaiting my registration certificate in the post! Ideally I have both part time and full time vacancies to childmind.

I find children to be creative and fun to be around; I like taking them out to the parks, library and local playgroups, doing creative art and craft work, singing, reading stories to children. I play the piano and guitar and enjoy music and would also like to introduce children to it.

In addition, I also provide Private tutoring services. I am educated to my Master degree in Arts (English Literature), Bachelor's degree in Education ( English and Math) and also a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Advertising and Marketing).
