About me

About Me

I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2006 I live in Wharncliffe Side Sheffield. I am 41 years old, married with 3 children of my own. aged 10, 7 and 4. I have always enjoyed looking after children and have helped out in schools with guide and brownie packs before I had children of my own. I offer a warm, loving and safe home environment where children of all ages can be cared for. I always work in partnership with parents and by doing so ensure that every child in my care is given the opportunities they need to reach their full potential. My Experience

I have been working as a childminder since January 2007, I have a wide range of experience with children from babies to age 11. I provide a good variety of indoor and outdoor activities to ensure the children are stimulated and take an active part in their learning. I also ensure there is chill out time available for the children after school to allow them to wind down from a busy school day. We spend a lot of time out doors giving plenty of opportunities for exercise and an escape for the children's energy. I provide a vaired healthy meal and snack menu.

My Qualifications

I have achieved the cache level 3 in childminding practice and have completed training and gained a certificate in Early Years First Aid from ST JOHN AMBULANCE. I have attended and passed a course in basic food hygiene and I have attained the NVQ3 in Child Care Learning and Development. I have attended courses on safeguarding children and birth to three matters, on how to apply the EYFS curriculum, and DCATCH course (Disabled Children Access to Childcare)
I have been approved by OFSTED to provide child minding services at my home address. I was inspected by Ofsted in February 2010
I received a good grade in all areas of my child minding practice, an improvement on my previous Ofsted report where I received an overall good grading but two areas were marked as satisfactory. This shows that I am constantly improving my childcare practice.

My Availability

I will have availability from September for a part time place for a child under 5, between 9 and 3 Monday to Friday. I have no places available before and after school, however I am happy to discuss your requirements as I may have some places available for before and after school in September.

My Fees

I charge 3.60ph and £1.50 for lunch and/or Tea. A discount is available where two or more children are cared for from the same family.
